I missed watching firefly, even though I would have liked to see it… I probably have to buy the DVD collection. Now I’ve seen the movie, and it not half bad. It is good, although I would not compare it to star wars like some have. Star Wars is archtypical, serenity is not. This does not mean it not a good show, its a fun and interesting show. Yes, we can nitpick over such things as using guns in a movie that takes place 500 years from now. But that is just being stupid and superficial. The merits of a movie or any show should be on the story and plot, and in that regard Serenity delivers. The characters are well defined and their stories are well executed. My personal favorite character is River.
I not go into the details of the movie, I believe that you should see it yourself and judge it yourself, hate it or love it, its your choice.
