Ok, USB headphones are a pain in the ass.
They say XP with Service Pack 2 suppose to support it…. yet, I have XP, service pack 2 installed and yet I can’t use USB headphones… it says that the driver cannot be found. It’s a logitech USB headphone, so I wrote the company, expecting a little help to solve the problem…. that was over a week ago and not a single reply. I still have to see if it will work with my linux machine. But generally my experience with it on XP is a total waste of time (I am being polite). So here are the lies that are going around.
1. All versions of XP with Service Pack 2 supports USB headsets… FALSE
2. You can get support from Microsoft… FALSE. My version of XP is an OEM which Microsoft says they will not support unless you pay them.
3. You get support from Logitech… FALSE. I love logitech products more than Microsoft but this experience has taught me they are as much fucking assholes as Microsoft.
4. If a company says it will work, chances are it might work but only if you fall into a specific margin of the population.
Damn usless technology company idiots.
