Today I discovered something about one of my favorite bands. Nightwish, that they in blunt words kicked out their lead singer Tarja, back in October. This is shocking because this for me means that the band just lost its most key asset. Whoever they replace her with will not be anywhere like Tarja. This shocking news was posted in an open letter they published online after.

This may indeed be an end of an era. I for one am more of a fan of Tarja than the other band members, so what remains to be seen is if Tarja will continue in the style of music that made her famous. I have no idea what the band will do in the upcoming months, and I feel that this indeed is the end of Nightwish.
